“HyperPay Focus” section 20: How IP Helps NFT Break Boundaries

“HyperPay Focus” section 20 AMA was held on September 3rd at 18: 00 (UTC+8) in HyperPay Official Telegram(https://t.me/HyperPay_En). The theme of the special session is “ Into the Metaverse(2ed phase): How IP Helps NFT Break Boundaries”. HyperPay invited 大岛巖(Oshima), the CMO of N. Fans, and Susan Bai, the CMO of BCA to share their views.

The Following is the Content of AMA

1. First of all, would you please briefly introduce your respective projects and the current progress? (N.Fans, BCA)

Oshima: N.Fans is a block chain-based NFT art and play trading convergence platform, platform gathered digital art, star film and television, animation games and other content, using smart contract technology to build a set of IP, products, digital rights and interests in one of the copyright, for pop, entertainment and other subcultures to achieve non-homogeneous token, and serve fans. Help fans, NFT circulation, confirm rights exercise rights, in order to build a trading platform for global participants. On August 28th, we at N.ans signed a contract with Bandai Namco China’S IP to jointly launch the NFT collection of Dark Angels for the first time. The first collection includes: Jiang Yao, Munch tie, White Pheasant, Nine Ya, Yan King, Black and White Fickle and other characters, the NFT will be launched on Binance NFT platform in the form of 3D NFT for auction and limited release on September 2.

Susan Bai: I’m Susan Bai from BCA Network. BCA is the world’s leading art-tech platform that integrates the creation, trading, collection, and culture outputs of crypto art. 2. At present, most NFT is still in the level of art collection, and the liquidity is relatively poor. What do you think about this problem? (N.Fans, BCA)

Oshima: The NFT of artworks itself has a high threshold because of its attributes and high price. Not general users can also have, the role is also used for collection. GameFi is also an example of increased liquidity. Like our upcoming Ninja Path chain game, each of his characters is an NFT that can be traded for upgrades. In order to get more CKR (Chakra), people are going to buy upgrades, which cost cards, so the liquidity of NFT cards is greatly increased. In order to effectively solve the problem of insufficient liquidity and the high value of part of NFT that cannot be traded freely, N.Ans proposed a resolution scheme. By dividing each NFT into customized asset fragments according to the market price, each fixed asset fragment corresponds to a part of its NFT, allowing it to be traded freely in the secondary market. Thus solve the liquidity problem of NFT. However, the asset fragment itself has some NFT attributes, so NFT splitting and value transfer can be realized by creating NFT retail tokens.

Susan Bai: As I mentioned, BCA is recognized by the mainstream Chinese art world, we have collaborated with many blue-chip traditional artists and have accelerated the process of cryotoart’s accepting by the traditional art world. This is the reason we choose art as the essence in our journey to metaverse.

We have participated in many NFT auctions of digital works of art, and gathered a group of relatively stable collectors. However, the liquidity of art collections is really insufficient. Here are many products or methods, as mentioned by Oshima, derived from the market to promote the liquidity of art collections, such as GameFi, DeFi or NFT tokenomic, but it is difficult to solve this problem in essence. We are also trying our best to boost more liquidity, by hosting many online, offline exhibitions for all our artists.

Also, we try to invite more IP or mainstream brand to co-brand with our artists. To make some new and fun content all together.

3. Recently, many NFT projects have started or developed with the help of well-known IP. How do you think of the development path of NFT+IP? (N.Fans, BCA)

Oshima: First of all, in my opinion, NFT+IP is complementary. We at N.Fans gather global well-known IPs for NFT output and guarantee the value of artworks through a unique value-preserving contract mechanism. NFT is a token with unique information or attributes, so it cannot be replaced by other tokens. This type of token cannot be “divided” like Bitcoin, so it also provides holders with a verifiable sign of ownership and scarcity. And our N.Fans is to allow anime characters to establish a sentimental relationship with the holder. I want to pass on the true value of NFT to fans of anime. What we want to build is not only an animation NFT trading platform, this is also our original intention.

Susan Bai: In my opinion, IP+NFT has a lot of advantages.

For example, it can attract people’s attention through the influence of IP and break the existing NFT circle. However, with the continuous development of the market and the increasing awareness of users, NFT provides a unique way to carry the value of digital assets.

In short, NFT solves three things:

1. Ownership, give digital content “certificate”, exclusive and rare .

2. Copyright protection, open, transparent and traceable on transaction process.

3. Create a new trading and circulation environment, and there is no middleman to “earn the price difference”.

From the technical and commercial point of view, NFT and intellectual property have a natural fit indeed. On the one hand, NFT, like blockchain technology, has opened up an innovative space for intellectual property rights based on the digital world. On the other hand, NFT has opened up a new market for intellectual property transactions.

However, the cooperation of IP and NFT will be easier to become a new marketing routine. Users can perceive it, and it won’t last long to derive a series of collectible skin or a JPG which can only stay on the screen. It will be better if players/users can truly use IP to meet their real needs in the virtual and real world. Such IP creation is truly in line with the blockchain culture and the direction of more sustainable development.

Therefore, what I want to express here is that some NFT companies want to cooperate with IP, which should not only consider the marketing demands of the brand, but also meet the real needs of real community members. Removing the collection value of NFT provided by IP owners, if NFT can be endowed with some real utility, it can meet users’ social needs in the real world, and even derive a meta universe to carry the growth line of NFT. BCA has been working hard on this, trying every possibility.

4. What are the well-known IP addresses you have cooperated with so far? Is it a one-time or long-term partnership with IP? (N.Fans, BCA)

Oshima: We at N.Fans have strong IP resources. For example, N.Fans is currently our partners with TV TOKYO and Bandai Namco China. We have signed Naruto and the recently popular Chen Lingji and Dark World God Envoys. In the negotiation and signing, there are Pokémon, Slam Dunk, Gundam, One Piece, Dragon Ball, etc. On August 28th, our N.Fans signed a contract with Bandai Namco’s IP to jointly launch the “Dark World Divine Envoy” NFT collection for the first time. The first collections include: Jiang Yao, Gourmet, White Pheasant, Jiuya, Hades, Characters such as black and white impermanence have already landed on the Binance NFT platform on September 2 for auction and limited release in the form of 3D NFT. The cooperation between us and IP is a long-term cooperation. Every NFT of the Hokage characters we sign has an exclusive number, and it is not a short-term cooperation right to use, but is held for a long time.

Susan Bai: BCA is also trying to cooperate with IP assets. At present, we will mainly choose some popular IP in crypto native group and some IP brands who are more willing to boldly try new ones. For example, we are trying to collaborate with some music IP, and Virtual Idols. We are also trying to use NFT to redefine the meaning of books through AR / VR technology.

BCA will continue to announce our cooperation with all kinds of IP in the next quarter. I hope you can look forward to it!

5. Recently, I heard that N.Fans will launch Naruto chain game. Can you tell us the details? (N.Fans)

Oshima: The first game we launched was Ninja Raiders League, because it was easy to get started and easy for everyone to get started. First and everyone to introduce us this game raiders.

About huoying card battle chain play method:

There is PVP+PVE gameplay, guild battles, and “gold” for CKR (Chakra).

PVP: players can play card battles with players, players decide to play cards, both sides ready to fight. The winning side gets more CKR bonuses and the losing side gets less CKR bonuses.

PVE: There are many wonderful copies and stories built in the game, and the levels are heavy. The more advanced the levels are, the stronger the combat effectiveness of the role is and the higher the card level is to complete the game. Earn CKR (Chakra) bonuses for each level you pass.

Oshima: Next, we will launch the ninja Raiders Alliance and the Ninja Road chain tour in the middle of September. On August 28, we signed a contract with Bandai Namco China’s IP, and jointly launched the NFT collection of “Dark World Angel” for the first time. 7. Its said that a lot of outstanding artists have signed with BCA, so what are the plans for online or offline exhibitions? (BCA)

Susan Bai: We will hold an online exhibition named “Aleph Behind The Door” with @Naomi_ZY_Wang at 7:00pm today and we have minted 10 tickets on MetaOpus. Ticket is required to visit the exhibition. Nowadays, people are fascinated by the attracting artworks on cryptovoxels. But people tend to glance over the artworks while visiting online exhibitions. The artist sets a bar of watching artworks by creating tickets to explore the causes of this problem. She also aims to inspire us to we have respect for those valuable arworks in online exhibitions.

8. Can you introduce the “BCA Global Young Digital Art Scholarship Program” initiated by BCA? How is the plan going now? And why do you want to initiate such a plan? (BCA)

Susan Bai: The BCA Global Young Digital Art Scholarship Program is funded by the BCA (BlockCreateArt) and is initiated by the BCA Blockchain Art Center and Tsinghua x-lab under the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, CAFA School of Design and Technology. The scholarship is meant to champion the artistic practices of contemporary young digital artists and promote the development of the Digital Art. The winning works will be exhibited in BCA Art Center and BCA Virtual Art Center (on CryptoVoxels). Also, gas fees for minting will be waived for the TOP100 finalists. So far, the submission of artworks ends and we have received more than 200 striking artworks. Now the public can vote for the submited artworks.
